Play-based counselling support Services
At the Counselling & Mediation Centre, we offer play-based therapeutic support tailored to help children navigate the emotional challenges of divorce in a safe and developmentally appropriate way. Parents often seek support when their children show signs of anxiety, sadness, anger, behavioural changes, or difficulty adjusting to new family dynamics. Through non-directive play therapy, we create a space where children can express their emotions freely, process their experiences, and develop healthy coping mechanisms without the pressure of verbalizing their feelings directly. Using techniques such as sand play, art therapy, storytelling, and structured therapeutic games, we help children understand and manage their emotions, build resilience, and regain a sense of security amidst change.
Our goal is to provide children with the emotional tools they need to adjust to their new family structure, strengthen their self-esteem, and foster healthy relationships with both parents, regardless of the circumstances of the divorce.
Parent guidance & Counselling
At the Counselling & Mediation Centre, we understand that divorce is not just a legal process—it’s an emotional and psychological transition for the entire family. Parents often seek guidance on how to support their children’s emotional well-being, manage their own stress, and navigate co-parenting challenges effectively. We provide a safe and supportive space where parents can gain practical strategies to help their children adjust, while also receiving coaching on communication, boundary-setting, and conflict resolution to minimize the emotional toll on the family. For children, we offer play therapy and age-appropriate counselling to help them express their emotions, process the changes, and build resilience. Our goal is to ensure that children feel heard, secure, and supported, while parents are equipped with the tools they need to create a stable, cooperative, and child-centred post-divorce environment.
Whether you’re struggling with co-parenting disagreements, emotional distress, or helping your child adjust to new routines, we are here to guide and support your family every step of the way.
Individual counselling & Support
At the Counselling & Mediation Centre, we offer individual counselling for those navigating the emotional and psychological challenges of divorce, providing a safe space to process feelings of grief, loss, anger, guilt, anxiety, and uncertainty about the future. Many individuals seek support to rebuild their sense of identity, develop coping strategies, and regain emotional stability as they transition into a new phase of life. Our therapeutic approach helps individuals manage stress, improve emotional regulation, and develop effective communication skills, especially when co-parenting or dealing with high-conflict divorce situations. Whether you are struggling with the emotional weight of separation, adjusting to life post-divorce, or seeking guidance on establishing healthy boundaries, we are here to support you.
